Privacy policy

This site is a simple comparison page. It has no sign-ups, no forms, and no way to pay anyone, so the amount of data involved is small by design.

Data we handle

Aggregate visit data, nothing more. When the site is fully instrumented, its analytics will record which pages were read, roughly which region a visit came from, what type of device was used, and which cruise links were clicked. That last part is the one we care about: it tells us whether a page helped someone choose between a Bateaux Parisiens dinner sailing and a Batobus hop-on pass, or between a one-hour sightseeing trip and a Paris Canal evening cruise. The purpose is to learn which comparisons are useful, not to work out who anyone is. No names, no email addresses and no payment details are stored, because none are ever requested.

Cookies and outside embeds

The analytics tool sets its own cookies once enabled. Any images or other media embedded on a page are served from the site itself rather than pulled from third-party servers, so visiting a cruise comparison page does not trigger a chain of external requests. If a video were ever added, it would load from a no-cookie domain so nothing would be set until you pressed play.

When you click through to a sailing's listing, the booking platform sets its own affiliate cookie so that a booking can be credited back to this site. Those cookies belong to the platform and fall under its privacy policy rather than this one. The affiliate disclosure names which platforms are involved and explains the arrangement.

Things we avoid

• Sell or share visitor data with anyone.
• Sell or share visitor data with advertising or analytics companies.
• Request an email address. No newsletter exists and no mailing list is kept.
• Process bookings or card details. Payment stays between you and the operator's own booking page.
• Operate a contact form. The contact page links straight to email, so any message you send goes through your own provider, not through us.

Hosting

The site is served through a content delivery network that keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We do not mine those logs to identify or profile individual visitors.

Your choices

Browser-level tracking protection, an ad blocker or a Do Not Track setting will each stop the analytics script, and nothing here breaks when they do. Every page works with JavaScript disabled apart from the mobile menu. If you would rather leave no affiliate cookie at all, the disclosure page explains how to reach the operators directly.
